High-Flying Excitement: Experience the Pensacola Blue Angels Air Show!

Your guide to enjoying the Blue Angels in Pensacola Beach like a pro. Get set for an unforgettable family adventure.
If you’re dreaming of a sun-soaked adventure with some high-flying excitement, look no further than the Blue Angels’ air show at Pensacola Casino Beach. Every July and November, the renowned Blue Angels grace the skies with their spectacular air shows, affectionately known as the “Blues.” It’s an event that promises thrills and memories galore for you and your crew!
To make sure your day at this thrilling spectacle goes off without a hitch, I’ve gathered all the insider tips:
First things first—arrive EARLY-pre-dawn early. Trust me, you’ll want prime seating under some shade. Speaking of which, bring your own to escape the sun’s rays. And of course, pack plenty of sunscreen for the whole gang. Don’t forget a cooler packed with snacks and WATER and ICE—lots of it! Hydration is key when you’re soaking up the sun and excitement.
For the best views, head over to Casino Beach near the iconic Beach Ball water tower—it’s like the bulls-eye for all those breathtaking aerial maneuvers. Want to be in the know about the prime spots? Check out this volunteer-produced Facebook Page for detailed maps and insider tips and graphics on where to set up camp.
Now, let’s talk logistics. Traffic around Casino Beach gets crazy, so consider the free Trolley as a driving alternative. Better yet, hop on a bike and cruise along Pensacola’s bike-friendly lanes. Need a rental? I’ve got you covered with recommendations in our Guidebook to Pensacola.
Can’t make it in person this year? No worries! You can catch the action live on these webcams:
And Hellcat Productions will be live streaming the event with narration by Rob Milford!
If you miss the the air shows or large crowds just aren’t your thing, don’t sweat it—the Blue Angels are based out of Pensacola and their practices (and the very same jaw-dropping stunts from their shows) are free and open to the public to watch every Wednesday at the Naval Air Station during their season from March to November. A schedule is posted on the Blue Angels Website. A visit to a Wednesday practice is one of our favorite activities to recommend to guests who stay with us at Idle Wave and Marbella!
Other spots where it’s possible to see the Blue Angel’s practices (but not the official July & November air shows) are Fort Pickens and the Target on Blue Angel Parkway.
So there you have it—your guide to enjoying the Blue Angels show like a pro. Get set for an unforgettable family adventure at Pensacola Beach!
